A Strong Entertainer the Way of D.C. Goes

It is not all that often that the White House Correspondents’ Association invites a woman to entertain the crowd at their annual dinner...but it is known to happen from time to time.

And, whaddya know, they have just extended once such kindness in advance of their next get-together.

Thanks to her sly and edgy political humor, Cecily Strong of TV’s Saturday Night Live has been tapped to host the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in 2015.

Strong has thus become only the fourth lady ever to land the gig. Before her came the likes of Wanda Sykes and Paula Poundstone.

The 2015 din-din is scheduled for April 25 – which is a Saturday – in Washington, D.C.
