A friend says: ‘Kate is full of excitement about her new life and she’s finally come round to wanting to grant Jamie his biggest wish, which is to become a dad.’
And Kate, who was 38 last week, is so keen to become a mum again – she already has nine-year-old daughter Lila Grace – that she’s put her party-loving lifestyle on hold.
‘Jamie is calling their baby plan a work in progress,’ the friend adds. ‘Kate bowed to Jamie’s wishes over her birthday celebrations and kept it low-key. She is staying as healthy as she possibly can to give herself the best chance of conceiving.’The supermodel has been busy renovating the seven-bedroom home in Highgate that she bought for £7.25 million last year.
Her builders have installed a fitness centre in the basement of the listed building. There is still work to do on the place, but Kate and Jamie, 43, pictured together, left, plan to move in a couple of weeks from now.
Meanwhile, Kate has taken the £7.5 million home in Kilburn that she was hoping to sell off the market.
‘She has found it impossible to sell because it’s not in the most desirable of locations,’ says a source.
