Kim Kardashian has won her lawsuit against fast-fashion retailer Missguided USA, TMZ reports.
She has been awarded $2.7 million in damages, plus $60,000 in lawyer fees. Kardashian filed the case back in February, accusing Missguided of using her name and likeness to sell low-cost versions of celebrity-endorsed styles.
The move came after she posted an image (below) of her being fitted in a YEEZY dress, writing “fast fashion brands, can you please wait until I wear this in real life before you knock it off?”
To which Missguided reportedly replied, “The devil works hard but Missguided works harder @kimkardashian you’ve only got a few days before this drops online.”
According to TMZ, the court backed Kardashian’s claim, stating that it found Missguided had entire pages dedicated to selling apparel inspired by the business mogul.
"Missguided has repeatedly used Kardashian’s name and likeness without permission on its social media platforms to promote the sale of its clothing,” the judge said.
The court has permanently barred Missguided from using Kardashian trademarks, including her likeness, to market its products.
