Candace Bushnell’s life was the basis for Carrie Bradshaw in her book, and later the TV show, Sex and the City, and it seems her closet may have played an influential part as well. The ultimate city girl would, by default, have the ultimate city closet to match. Years of conducting research for her columns (i.e., attending only the chicest parties) allowed her to accumulate a rather ostentatious collection.
